This will help you understand better what you are about to delve into. More so, you will equip yourself with color usage skills, composition, and perspective. A high school diploma is however not a must for muralists.

Once you know the history and basics of arts, you can now pursue advanced studies of artists. Also, you can start looking into the mural art that interests you. You can decide to study on the web, take private classes. Go to the library, art center, university, and museum or attend a local college or workshop. You can also advance your skill and knowledge by earning a bachelors or masters degree in arts.

When you have gained as much knowledge as you can, the next step is gaining experience. This can be achieved by becoming an intern, helper or apprentice of a muralist who has already established him/herself. Also, you will gain more skills and learn all the tricks involved in this industry. More so, you will learn how to find better jobs and even start your own company.

When you are free, you can use your time to sketch and make designs of your own. You can do this by using your free hand or computer software. Painting and drawing often will help you become more knowledgeable. Also, you will improve your skills by using all the tools that professional muralists use.

To build your name, ensure that you have created both offline and online portfolios that will showcase your art create videos of paintings you have worked on with other professional muralists. Ensure that you have showcased your best works so that you can attract or impress potential clients as well as employers.
